A figure for NZ, Matt Markland is currently making history. Matt is on a war path to claim the title of New-Zealand-Olympian by pushing himself beyond his limits, skating at any given chance, and having fun in the process. Though not much insight has been made into how Matt is striving for this goal for his country, it seems like most of the battle has been largely bureaucratic, but the work put into skating outside of these battles has solidified himself as a worthy contender and a fierce go getter.
